4th Annual Monte Irvin Giants 19U Wood Bat Classic baseball tournament to be held in Orange, July 28-29

ORANGE, NJ – The 4^th Annual Monte Irvin Giants 19U Wood Bat Classic baseball tournament will be held Saturday, July 28 and Sunday, July 29 at Monte Irvin field at Central Playground in Orange, located at 401 Central Ave.  Admission is free.

In addition to the hometown Giants (the defending champions), teams committed to play include the Jersey City Sharks, Camden Braves, Philadelphia Black Sox and the Lodi Rams.

“We are excited to present the 4th Annual Monte Irvin Giants Wood Bat Classic tournament,” said Wally Boyett, tournament director. “This year’s tournament field is perhaps the toughest it’s ever been and promises to be exciting!  So please join us for an exciting weekend of baseball, right here in Orange!”

8:30 a.m. – Jersey City Sharks vs. Monte Irvin Giants

11 a.m. – Camden Braves vs. Philly Black Sox

1:30 p.m. – Lodi Rams vs. Jersey City Sharks

4 p.m. – Monte Irvin Giants vs. Camden Braves

6:30 p.m. – Philly Black Sox vs. Lodi Rams

Sunday, July 29

8:30 a.m. – #4 seed vs. #5 seed

11 a.m. – #2 seed vs. #3 seed

1:30 p.m. – #1 vs. 4/5 winner

4 p.m. – Championship Game
