Orange HS grad is on Thorpe list for best DB

ORANGE, NJ – Orange High School graduate Jamar Summers is getting ready for his junior season for the University of Connecticut football team.

The UConn Huskies will host Maine on Thursday, Sept. 1, in the season opener at 7 p.m.

Summers, a 6-foot, 190-pound junior cornerback, has been named to the Watch List for the 2016 Jim Thorpe Award, given annually to the best defensive back in college football.
