ORANGE – Treyvon Bleasdell scored a game-high 15 points to lead the Orange High School boys’ varsity basketball team to a 68-47 road win over Carteret on Saturday, Jan. 9.
Zahier Childs had 14 points; Mekhi Chester had 10 ; Latreil Wilson had nine; Andre Pete chipped in eight; Henry Jean-Baptiste had five and Tyler Killett added two for the Tornadoes, who moved to a 3-7 record.
In previous action, Childs had 12 points and Guillaume had 10 points but the Tornadoes lost at Montclair, 59-46, Jan. 5. Papouche Demonsthenes scored eight and Henry Jean-Baptiste had six. Montclair, leading 22-18 at the halftime, outscored OHS, 20-12, in the third quarter for a 42-30 lead.
The Tornadoes lost to Columbia, 56-40, at home on Jan. 7.
