Orange HS boys’ basketball team rallies past Irvington to snap skid

ORANGE – The Orange High School boys’ varsity basketball team rallied to defeat Irvington, 62-57, at home on Jan. 21, snapping a three-game losing streak and improving to a 5-10 record.

The Tornadoes trailed 28-25 at halftime and 45-42 at the end of the third quarter but outscored Irvington, 20-12, in the fourth quarter. OHS avenged a 55-44 loss to Irvington in the season opener.

In earlier action, Richie  Guillaume scored 23 points and Zahier Childs had nine points on three 3-pointers in the 60-50 loss at University on Jan. 19 in Newark.
