ORANGE – The Orange High School varsity football team had an inspiring run this season.
After upsetting second-seeded Ridgefield Park in the first round to avenge last year’s opening-round playoff loss to the same opponent, the seventh-seeded Tornadoes were just one win away from reaching the state North Jersey Section 2, Group 3 playoff championship game. But the Tornadoes lost a heartbreaking 21-14 decision to third-seeded Morris Hills in the semifinals on Nov. 19 in Rockaway to finish with a 6-5 record.
The Tornadoes were sparked by several strong contributors throughout the season. The following Tornadoes earned All-North Jersey Super Football Conference-Patriot White Division honors:

NOTES – Morris Hills went on to win the North 2, Group 3 title with a 27-14 win over Parsippany Hills in the final at MetLife Stadium on Dec. 3. OHS also lost to Parsippany Hills, 23-13, in Week 7 this season in a divisional game. Mahwah, which beat OHS, 42-16, in Week 2 this season, won the North 1, Group 2 title with a 35-28 win over Westwood on Dec. 4 at MetLife Stadium.
