The Orange High School varsity football team lost its third game in a row, falling to Passaic Valley, 23-14, Saturday, Sept. 30, in Little Falls.
After a scoreless first quarter, the Tornadoes jumped out to a 14-0 lead. Junior quarterback George Crespo ran for a 45-yard TD to make it 7-0. Crespo threw a 31-yard TD pass to junior Nyquee Hawkins in the second quarter. Senior Louis Thompson kicked both extra points.
Passaic Valley answered with a TD later in the second quarter to cut the Tornadoes’ lead to 14-7 and continued the momentum in the second half to earn the victory.
