Orange HS football team’s two-game win streak ends after loss to Parsippany Hills

ORANGE, NJ (updated Monday Oct. 24, 3:40 p.m.) – The Orange High School varsity football team had its two-game winning streak end with a 23-13 loss at Parsippany Hills, 23-13, Friday, Oct. 21, in a North Jersey Super Football Conference-Patriot White Division game.

Senior running back Tyrese Harris scored on a 27-yard run in the first quarter and junior Quesean Waite caught an 83-yard touchdown pass from sophomore quarterback George Crespo in the second quarter for the Tornadoes, who trailed 14-13 at the half.

Both OHS and Parsippany Hills moved to 3-4 overall records.

In the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association North Section 2, Group 3 playoff power-point standings, Parsippany Hill is in fourth place with 64 points and OHS is in sixth place with 52 points. The top eight teams in the power-point standings by the eighth game earned playoff berths.

In the division, OHS is 3-2 and Parsippany Hills is 3-1.

The Tornadoes will host Newark Central (2-5) on Friday, Oct. 28, at 7 p.m. at Bell Stadium. The playoffs begin the following weekend, Nov. 11-12.
