Orange HS girls’ basketball team continues surge, moves to 9-4

ORANGE – The Orange High School girls’ varsity basketball team defeated Caldwell and St. Vincent Academy to improve to 9-4. Imani May had 19 points, five rebounds, six assists and six steals to lead the Lady Tornadoes to a 45-40 come-from-behind victory over Caldwell at home on Jan. 19. Lorenzia Hammer had 12 points, 15 rebounds, three blocks and four steals and Jada Hamilton had four points, 12 rebounds, and four steals for the Tornadoes.

Hammer scored 13 points to lead the Tornadoes to a 44-16 win at St. Vincent on Jan. 16 in Newark. Imani Paul and Jonai Hill each had eight points; Deana Evans had six and May had five. OHS has won three straight and five of its last six games.
