Orange HS girls’ basketball team falls in state tourney opener to end fine 14-11 season

ORANGE – The eighth-seeded Orange High School girls’ varsity basketball team lost to ninth-seeded Warren Hills, 52-42, in the first round of the state North Jersey Section 2, Group 3 tournament on Monday, Feb. 29.

Lorenzah Hammer scored nine points and fellow junior Imani May had eight points for OHS, which finished the season with a 14-11 record. Junior Jonai Hill had seven points; sophomore Anessa Larathe had six; sophomore Imani Paul had five; sophomore Jada Hamilton had four; and senior Deanna Evans added three for OHS.
