Orange HS girls’ track and field athletes excel at North 2, Group 3 State meet

ORANGE, NJ – Tatayanna Beckford and Joanna Marcelin posted top-six finishes to lead the Orange High School girls’ track and field team at the NJSIAA North Jersey Section 2, Group 3 State Championships held at Middletown North HS, May 25-26.

Beckford finished third in the javelin with a throw of 104 feet-8 inches and Marcelin was fifth in the long jump at 16-4 ½. As a result, Beckford and Marcelin qualified for the NJSIAA Group 3 State Championships at Central Regional HS, June 1-2.
