Orange HS wrestler Merlin Senat had good run this season

Orange High School wrestler Merlin Senat had a great run this season.

Senat, competing in the 113-pound weight class, lost both of his matches in the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association tournament at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on March 5. In the first round, Senat, seeded 29th, was pinned by fourth-seeded Cooper Stewart of Sparta in 42 seconds. In the consolation first round, Senat lost by a 10-5 decision to Desmond Pleasant of Piscataway to become eliminated. Senat qualified for the tournament after taking fourth place at the Region 3 tournament at West Orange HS on Feb. 29.
