Orange HS wrestler Pierre Senat advances to Region tournament

ORANGE, NJ – Pierre Senat finished in third place to lead the Orange High School varsity wrestling team at the NJSIAA District 10 tournament at Belleville HS on Feb. 17.

Senat pinned Verona’s Sam Zamloot in 5:24 in the 113-pound weight class in the third-place consolation bout. Senat advanced to the Region 3 tournament at West Orange HS, Feb. 21, 23 and 24. The top three finishers in each weight class from the districts advanced to the region tournament. OHS teammate Ebenson Macenat placed fourth at 126, losing to Nutley’s Jacob Gonzalez by pin in 5:17 in the third-place consolation.
