Columbia HS baseball team defeats Glen Ridge

MAPLEWOOD – Quinn Krais had three hits and three RBI and Eliot Dix had two hits and three RBI to lead the Columbia High School varsity baseball team to a 14-1 home win over Glen Ridge on May 14. Christian Pierre had two hits and two RBI and winning pitcher Danny Boehmer struck out five and allowed five hits as the Cougars improved to a 12-7 record.

In earlier action, Luke Jackson went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI and Pierre homered and drove in three runs in the 4-1 home win over West Essex on May 11. Sam Berkely pitched a complete game, five-hitter with eight strikeouts and two walks, and had two hits at the plate.
CHS lost at Immaculata, 11-4, May 13.
