Columbia HS boys’ soccer team falls to No. 2 state-ranked Seton Hall Prep, 1-0

The Columbia High School varsity boys’ soccer team  gave a good effort in losing to SetonHall Prep, 1-0, at Brendan P. Tevlin Memorial Field in West Orange on Monday, Oct. 2, in a Super Essex Conference non-division game.

CHS moved to a 5-5 record.

SHP was ranked No. 2 in the state by The Star-Ledger/NJ.com as of Sept. 28.

In the previous game, the Cougars fell at Hillsborough, 2-1, in a non-conference game on Sept. 28. Senior forward Steven Kattouf scored in the first half to give the Cougars a 1-0 halftime lead. Hillsborough scored two goals in the second half.  Sam Maidenberg made 13 saves.
