MAPLEWOOD – The fifth-seeded Columbia High School boys’ varsity tennis team will host 12th-seeded Linden in the first round of the state North Jersey Section 2, Group 4 tournament on May 13 at the Baird Center courts in South Orange. If the Cougars win, they will face the winner of No. 4 seed Bridgewater-Raritan and No. 13 seed Plainfield in the quarterfinals May 17.
The semifinals are May 19 and the final is May 23. The top seed is Westfield.
The Cougars had a 15-3 record through May 9.
