MAPLEWOOD, NJ – Columbia High School senior Jared Pangallozzi finished an impressive 27th overall out of 187 runners in the state high school cross-country Meet of Champions at Holmdel Park in Holmdel on Saturday, Nov. 19.
Pangallozzi clocked 16:32. He was the third-highest Essex County finisher, behind Millburn runners Matt Grossman, who was fourth overall in 15:55, and Ramsey Little, who was 22nd in 16:25.
Pangallozzi and CHS teammates David Ives and Tim Depue made First Team on the All-Super Essex Conference-American Division.
Avery Coreschi, Jonathan Salinardo, and Ricky Hankey each made Second Team and Robert Howell made Honorable Mention on the All-SEC-American for CHS.
On the girls’ side, Claudia Steiner made Second Team and Isabel Turi and Catherine Jordan made Honorable Mention on the All-SEC-American for CHS.
