MAPLEWOOD, NJ – The Columbia High School boys’ and girls’ fencing teams advanced to the semifinals of their respective NJSIAA state tournaments. Both semifinals are Feb. 15..
On the girls’ side, 11th-seeded Columbia will visit second-seeded Ridge. The winner will face the winner of top-seeded Bergen Tech and No. 12 seed Bernards in the final.
The Columbia boys’ team, seeded seventh, will visit third-seeded St. Peter’s Prep of Jersey City. The other semifinal pits top-seeded Ridge against fifth-seeded Morris Hills.
Both finals are on Feb. 21.
