Columbia HS field hockey team goes 1-1 in ECT

MAPLEWOOD, NJ – The sixth-seeded Columbia High School varsity field hockey team defeated seventh-seeded Livingston in the first round before losing to third-seeded Montclair in the quarterfinals of the Essex County Tournament.

Annie Pasternak scored three goals to lead the Cougars to a 4-0 win over Livingston on Oct. 3 at Lynn V. Profeta Field/Underhill Field.
Natalia Zacker had the other goal. Peyton Kemp, Anna Sekel, and Ruby Sigmund each had an assist. Lily Hummel made 14 saves.

Columbia fell at Montclair, 8-0 on Oct. 6.

The Cougars lost at Summit, 3-1, Oct. 8 and lost to Kent Place, 5-0, Oct. 10 at home to move to a 5-10 record.
