Columbia HS football team hopes to regroup vs. Seton Hall Prep

MAPLEWOOD/SOUTH ORANGE – The Columbia High School varsity football team will host Seton Hall Prep this Saturday, Oct. 15, at 1 p.m. Seton Hall Prep has an 0-5 record.

The Cougars lost a heartbreaker to Livingston, 13-12, last Friday, Oct. 7, in Livingston to move to a 1-4 record.

CHS sophomore quarterback Luke Hayes completed 10 of 18 passes for 114 yards, including an eight-yard touchdown to junior Krystopher Ward.

Senior running back C.J. Nwanonyiri rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown on 28 carries, and caught two passes for 32 yards.
Senior tailback Orterro Felton caught three passes for 20 yards.

Rushing: Felton, four carries for 11 yards. Hayes, four carries for 10 yards. Ward, three carries for seven yards.

Receiving: Senior Marcus Moultrie, two catches for 47 yards. Ward, one catch for eight yards. Junior Anthony Agu, two catches for seven yards.
