Columbia HS girls’ lacrosse team falls to Montclair Kimberley Academy in ECT first round

MAPLEWOOD/SOUTH ORANGE – The 10th-seeded Columbia High School girls’ varsity lacrosse team lost to seventh-seeded Montclair Kimberley Academy, 9-8, in the first round of the Essex County Tournament on April 16 at MKA. Anna Torrey had three goals for the Cougars.

CHS lost at Morristown, 19-5, April 18, to move to an 0-6 record. Jasmine West had two goals and Torrey, Finley Kemp and Charli Holstein each had a goal.

In earlier action, Kate O’Connell and West each had two goals and Kemp and Morgan Nash each had one goal in the 16-6 loss at Roxbury on April 12. Madison-Bailey Felton made six saves for CHS. The Cougars fell to Sparta, 20-8, April 15, at Underhill Field.
