Columbia HS girls’ soccer team is No. 4 seed in ECT

MAPLEWOOD, NJ (updated Tuesday Oct. 18, 3:32 p.m.) – The Columbia High School girls’ soccer team received the No. 4 seed in the Essex County Tournament.

The Cougars will host a quarterfinal round game on Friday, Oct. 21,  at Lynn V. Profeta Field/Underhill Sports Complex at 4 p.m. against No. 12 seed Mount St. Dominic Academy. The top seed is Livingston. Nutley is the No. 2 seed and Montclair is the No. 3 seed.

The semifinals will be held at Belleville HS on Oct. 26. The final is Sunday, Oct. 30, at Montclair State University.

Grace Bratter scored a goal off an assist from Meredith Meyer to give the Cougars a 1-0 win over Bloomfield on Friday, Oct. 14, at Lynn V. Profeta Field/Underhill Sports Complex. The win improved the Cougars’ record to 8-3-1.
