MAPLEWOOD, NJ – The Columbia High School girls’ soccer team has enjoyed a nice turnaround.
The Cougars played highly-regarded West Orange to a scoreless tie on Sept. 28 in a Super Essex Conference-American Division game at West Orange.
Emma Herrero made 14 saves for the Cougars, who had ran their unbeaten streak to four games (3-0-1) and improved to a 4-4-1 record.
In the previous game, Ceci Munoz scored two goals and Elodie Reeves had the other goal to lead CHS to a 3-2 win over Chatham on Sept. 27 at Meadowland Park field.
Mimi Joseph and Kate Meyer each had an assist and Herrero made four saves for Columbia in its third straight win.
