Columbia junior Madison Stevens beams after winning the shot put title at the Group 4 state championships.

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Columbia High School senior Madison Stevens recently has given a verbal commitment to continue her track and field career at Rutgers University.

Stevens is one of the top shot putters in the state. She won the Group 4 state championship in the shot put in June and took second place in the same event at the Meet of Champions.
