MAPLEWOOD – Columbia High School’s Kevhan Bent, Devin Rocha and Blake McGowan have earned Worrall Media All-Area wrestling honors this season.
Bent, a senior competing in the 285-pound heavyweight class, won the Essex County Tournament championship and made first team All-Super Essex Conference-Colonial Division, finishing with a 22-8 record. He took second place at both the Irvington Blue Knights Holiday Tournament and Rahway Holiday Tournament.
Rocha, a freshman who vied at the 120-pound division, finished with a 25-9 record. He took second place at the Rahway Holiday; third place at the Irvington Tournament third place at the Kinnelon Colt Shootout and fourth place at the Essex County Tournament. He made first team All-SEC-Colonial.
McGowan, a freshman who competed at the 152-pound class, took fourth place at the West Orange King of the Mountain Tournament; seventh place at the Essex County Tournament and fourth place at the District 10 Tournament to finish with an 18-9 record. He also made first team All-SEC-Colonial.
