How did you get into soccer?

I got into soccer at a very early age. My dad is British, and soccer was always on in the house growing up. I began playing for a local team before trying out for some higher level clubs a bit later down the road.

When not on the field, where are you most likely to be found?

On most days, you can find me working on some odd project for the business I run with two partners called Mapsosupply. We resell vintage clothing, and recently produced Maplewood and South Orange hats. For more info on this, feel free to visit our website www.mapsosupply.com. Also, I try to get to the gym or go for a run anytime I can.

What is your favorite subject in school?

My favorite subject in school is art, as I am very interested in design. Also, I love the business and finance courses that Columbia offers.

Do you have any superstitions or rituals that you do before playing a game?

The night before a game, I try to visualize myself playing the best game of my life. I do the same thing before warm-ups on game day as well. I’ve struggled with nerves before so this has been a major help.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be?

If I could have a superpower, it would be the ability to retain any information or new skill that I learned indefinitely. I love learning and bettering myself, and this would help quite a bit.

What is your top soccer memory?

I have a few really good soccer memories — I’ll give one good one. It was actually this season, in our game vs. Millburn. They’re a rival of ours, and it was a huge game. Even though we lost, having so many of my peers and close friends on the sidelines supporting the team was an amazing feeling. We played a good, hard-fought game.

What is a fact about you that might surprise people?

People might be surprised to hear that I’m passionate about art — design, photography, music, etc. This isn’t necessarily common among athletes, but I have been drawing and making stuff since before I could walk.

What is your favorite band/singer?

My favorite band is probably Led Zeppelin; I love their music all around. I’ve got a pretty broad taste for music though, and Mac Miller is currently my favorite individual artist.
