SOUTH ORANGE, NJ – South Orange is hosting a special District 12 Babe Ruth League baseball tournament on Saturday, June 30, at historic Cameron Field in South Orange. It will feature the hometown South Orange-Maplewood 14U Cougars and visiting teams from New Providence and Cranford.
The Cougars will kick things off with a 9:30 a.m. game Saturday against New Providence, followed by Cranford taking on New Providence at noon and the Cougars facing Cranford at 2:30 p.m.
The event will include hamburgers and hot dogs, soda and other refreshments and snacks, with all proceeds going toward team expenses for upcoming tournaments.
Special guest South Orange Village Trustee Steve Schnall will throw out the first pitch.
