The Maplewood-South Orange Villagers 10U softball team won the Roselle Park Tournament held on July 28, 29 and 30.

The Villagers went 2-1 in the opening round with their only loss coming against the Livingston Thunder.  On Sunday, July 30, the Villagers opened the elimination round by beating the Brooklyn Knights 16-0 and the topping Elmora  6-1.  These two wins set them up for a rematch against a tough Livingston team. The Villagers went on to beat Livingston 4-2 in a well-played game.  Overall, the Villagers went 5-1 during the three days and outscored their opponents, 56-7.

This Villager team was extremely successful this year and posted a 31-14 record.  They were champions of the Cranford and Roselle Park tournaments, along with a runner up in the Parkway Invitational Softball League and Montville Tournament. Congratulations to a great group of girls!
