MAPLEWOOD/SOUTH ORANGE, NJ – The 12U Red Fall Maplewood-South Orange softball Villagers (pictured above) are all smiles after winning the Cranford Fall Softball League 12U A Division Championship. The Villagers entered the playoffs as the number three seed and beat Chatham, 7-0, in the first round and Summit, 6-3, in the semifinals, which set up the championship game against the undefeated team from Westfield. The Villagers went on to defeat Westfield, 6-4, in the finals on Thursday, October 26. The Villagers had an extremely successful season by finishing 8-2-1 in league play and 13-4-1 overall.
