DePaul quarterback and West Orange resident Ta’Quan Roberson signs with Penn State

WEST ORANGE, NJ – West Orange resident Ta’Quan Roberson, a senior quarterback at DePaul Catholic HS in Wayne, signed with Penn State on Wednesday, Dec. 19 on National Signing Day.

Roberson, who played youth football in Orange, is the No. 11-ranked dual-threat quarterback in the country and the No. 11-ranked overall player in New Jersey, according to rivals.com. He is a 4-star signee.

This past season, Roberson passed for 2,432 yards with 29 touchdowns and just six interceptions, while also rushing for 314 yards to lead DePaul to a 7-4 playoff season.

Last season as a junior, Roberson helped DePaul capture the NJSIAA Non-Public Group 3 state title to cap an 8-3 season.
