Golda Och Academy girls’ basketball star Ally Landau finished second in scoring average in New Jersey this season; GOA boys’ hoop players honored

WEST ORANGE, NJ – Golda Och Academy girls’ basketball standout player Ally Landau was one of the top scorers in New Jersey this past winter season.

Landau, a sophomore, was second in the state in scoring average this season at 28.9 points per game and was named to the First Team on the All-Super Essex Conference-Independence Division. Metuchen’s Brynn Farrell, another sophomore, was first at 31.7 points per game/

Landau played in all 21 games and scored 606 points, including her 1,000th career point in the 45-38 win over Central on Feb. 12.

Landau also averaged 6.1 steals and 5.0 assists for the Roadrunners, who finished with a 16-5 overall record and were second in the division at 12-2 behind Immaculate Conception of Montclair.

Landau’s sister, senior Rebecca Landau, made Second Team All-SEC-Independence for GOA.

GOA boys’ hoop players honored on All-SEC-Freedom

Golda Och Academy boys’ basketball players Alex Moskowitz and Elijah Teitel made First Team; Jamie Gutterman made Second Team; and Aaron Perlstein was selected Honorable Mention on the All-SEC-Freedom Division this season. GOA finished 13-8 overall.
