Maplewood native Jules Heningburg has impressive start to pro lacrosse career

MAPLEWOOD, NJ – Jules Heningburg has enjoyed a fine start to his professional lacrosse career.

The Maplewood native is playing for the Florida Launch of Major League Lacrosse. The Florida Launch selected Heningburg with the seventh overall pick this spring out of Rutgers University.

On May 19, Heningburg, 22, recorded the first goal of his MLL career against the New York Lizards. On May 26, The 6-foot-2, 185-pound attacker recorded two goals against the Dallas Rattlers.

In the Week 7 game against the Boston Cannons on June 2, Heningburg recorded one goal and one assist while picking up one ground ball. He also managed to cause one turnover. In the win over New York, Heningburg put three goals up along with having three assists. He also had two ground balls and one turnover.

At Denver on June 16, Heningburg tallied four goals and had three assists. He also made three turnovers. Heningburg recorded three goals with two assists in the win over Charlotte on June 23. He also caused four turnovers.

Heningburg is ranked seventh all-time at Rutgers in goals (117), eighth all-time in assists (90) and second all-time in points (207). He is a two-time All-American and two-time First Team All-Big Ten.

Heningburg is a graduate of Seton Hall Prep in West Orange.
