Natalie Nevins leads unbeaten West Orange HS girls’ soccer team past West Essex

WEST ORANGE, NJ – Junior Natalie Nevins scored two goals to lead the West Orange High School girls’ varsity soccer team to a 3-0 win at West Essex on Oct. 4 in North Caldwell.

Sophomore Kaya Schultz had a goal and an assist, and seniors Nyah Harper and Hannah Villasin each had an assist. Junior Cassidy Joyce made three saves for the shutout. The Mountaineers, ranked No. 6 in New Jersey, improved to a 6-0-2 record.

WOHS also was expected to gain the No. 1 seed in the Essex County Tournament. The seeding meeting was scheduled for Oct. 10.
