Seton Hall Prep boys basketball team wins two games as win streak reaches four 4

WEST ORANGE, NJ — The Seton Hall Prep basketball team won two Super Essex Conference-American Division road games to improve its record to 6-5 on the season. They also are riding a four-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Jan. 14, the Pirates traveled to Newark to take on East Side and defeated the Red Raiders 58-45. Senior guard Mike Curran led the Pirates with 16 points and five rebounds while junior guard Giye Jenkins, a West Orange resident, scored 13 points with 10 rebounds and five assists. Mason Morial, a senior guard, chipped in eight points, eight rebounds and eighth assists and senior forward Gavin Flowers also scored eight points with 4 rebounds.

On Thursday, Jan. 16, the Pirates took a short ride to Maplewood to take on Columbia and defeated the Cougars 57-35. Curran led the Pirates again with 15 points and six rebounds while Jenkins had 12 points, five rebounds, five assists, five steals and junior forward Cole McGonigal scored 10 points with five rebounds and three assists.
