Seton Hall Prep cross-country runner Dan Gizzo finishes second at Non-Public ‘A’ State Championships

Seton Hall Prep senior Dan Gizzo finished second overall at the NJSIAA Non-Public “A” Cross-Country State Championships held at Holmdel Park on Saturday, Nov. 11.

Gizzo was clocked in 16:12. The field consisted of 150 runners.

Brian Hill of Christian Brothers Academy won the race in 16;05.

As a team, Seton Hall Prep finished eighth among the 21 teams.

For the Pirates, senior Michael DiDonato was 18th in 17:01. The next best finishers for SHP were sophomore Nolan Orr, sophomore Colin Schweitzer, freshman Chris Gizzo, senior Matthew Martins, and sophomore Cristiano Ribeiro.

Gizzo has qualified for the NJSIAA State Meet of Champions on Saturday, Nov. 18.
