Seton Hall Prep cross-country team raises conference record to 5-0

WEST ORANGE, NJ — The Seton Hall Prep cross-country team had a strong showing in the second week of conference competition as it faced Montclair, Montclair Kimberley Academy and Livingston at Branch Brook Park in Newark on Tuesday, Sept. 21. 

The Pirates defeated all three opponents to raise their conference record to 5-0 on the season, Montclair, 25-32; MKA, 18-40; and Livingston, 15-50. The team was led by senior Anthony Bottino, second place, 17:38;, sophomore Connor Schmit, fourth place, 17:45; senior Danny Collum, fifth place, 17:59; senior Ben Ferraro, sixth place, 18:04; and senior Bedros Maldjian,11th place, 18:24. Other varsity runners in the lineup were senior AJ Villaruel, sophomore Ben Brennan and junior Russ Webb.
