Seton Hall Prep football players earn honors

WEST ORANGE, NJ – The Seton Hall Prep varsity football team featured several key contributors this season.

The following are notable statistics:

Passing

• Cameron Carti, senior quarterback: 165 of 270 attempts (61 percent), 1,927 yards, 19 touchdowns, 7 interception. Carti made First Team on the All-North Jersey Super Football Conference-United White Division.

• Aidan Gilman, junior QB: 15 of 21 attempts (71 percent), 137 yards, 2 TDs.

Rushing

• Kyle Monangai, sophomore RB: 164 carries, 729 yards (4.4 yards per carry), 6 TDs. Monangai made First Team on the All-NJSFC-United White Division.

• Matt Colantuono, sophomore: 51 carries, 290 yards (5.7 yards per carry), 2 TDs.

• Charles Tabi, senior RB: 18 carries, 135 yards (7.5 yards per carry), 1 TD. Tabi made Second Team on the All-NJSFC-United White Division.

Receiving

• Andrew Perez, senior WR: 56 catches, 939 yards (16.8 yards per catch), 12 TDs. Perez made First Team on the All-NJSFC-United White Division.

• Dominic Busby, sophomore TE: 37 catches, 484 yards (13.1 yards per catch), 6 TDs. Busby made Second Team on the All-NJSFC-United White Division.

• Jelani Mason, sophomore WR: 28 catches, 209 yards, 1 TD.

• Colantuono: 26 catches, 195 yards.

• Monangai: 22 catches, 171 yards, 1 TD.

Special Teams

• Zach Hoban, junior place-kicker: 27 of 28 extra-points. 7 of 11 field goals. Hoban made First Team on the All-NJSFC-United White Division.

Defense

• Vincent Henrich, junior LB from West Orange: 85 assists, 17 solos, 102 total tackles, 1 fumble caused, 1 fumble recovery, 1.5 sacks.

• Anthony Algieri, senior DB: 55 assists, 33 solos, 88 total tackles, 2 fumble recoveries, 1 interception.

• Jonathan Alvarado, junior LB: 47 assists, 30 solos, 77 total tackles, 2 fumbles caused, 1 fumble recovery, 1.5 sacks. Alvarado made First Team on the All-NJSFC-United White Division.

• Jack Agnew, senior S: 45 assists, 30 solos, 75 total tackles, 1 fumble caused, 1 fumble recovery. Agnew made Honorable Mention on the All-NJSFC-United White Division.

• Tyler Cook, sophomore LB: 33 assists, 15 solos, 48 total tackles, 1.5 sacks, 1 interception.

• Quentin Phanord, senior DB: 17 assists, 26 solos, 43 total tackles.

• Quinn Nilan, senior DL: 31 assists, 7 solos, 38 total tackles, 2.5 sacks. Nilan made First Team on the All-NJSFC-United White Division.

In addition, senior offensive lineman James Petrovcik made First Team; sophomore offensive lineman Lucas Giordano made Second Team; and senior offensive lineman Bobby Burke made Honorable Mention on the All-NJSFC-United White Division.

The Pirates finished with a 2-8 record.
