Seton Hall Prep hockey team falls to Don Bosco Prep in season opener

WEST ORANGE, NJ — The Seton Hall Prep ice hockey team dropped a 6-0 decision to Don Bosco Prep at the Ice Vault in Wayne on Friday night, Nov. 29, in the season opener.

After the game, SHP head coach Mike Atkinson said, ” I saw some good things from our club tonight. Even though we only put two shots on net in the first period, I thought we really played a strong period. That goal that they got late in the period (:29.7) definitely gave them momentum going into the second period. We have some growing pains and we will see Don Bosco again.”

Don Bosco Prep head coach Greg Toskos said, “I think Seton Hall Prep played very well. I don’t think the final score was indicative of the overall game.”

For the game, Don Bosco outshot Seton Hall, 27-23, but the Pirates had a 15-9 advantage in the third period.
