Seton Hall Prep ice hockey team drops tough games to Delbarton and CBA

WEST ORANGE, NJ  — The Seton Hall Prep ice hockey team dropped a couple of tough games last week to drop its record to 6-6-2 on the season.

On Monday, Jan. 13, the Pirates hosted Delbarton at Codey Arena in West Orange and lost 2-1. The Green Wave scored in the second and third periods to take a 2-0 lead. With 1:01 left, Brendan Waivada scored with an assist by Brady Callahan to make the score 2-1. The Pirates out-shot Delbarton 27-18.

On Wednesday, Jan. 15, the Pirates traveled to Jersey Shore Arena in Wall Twp. to take on Christian Brothers Academy and lost 3-1. After a scoreless first period, Lucas Confalonieri scored just 1:47 into the second period to give the Pirates a 1-0 lead on an assist by Callahan. CBA tied the score on a power-play goal just 1:20 later. In the third period, CBA scored two goals to make the final 3-1. Seton Hall Prep out-shot CBA 23-15.
