Seton Hall Prep ice hockey team finishes winning season

WEST ORANGE, NJ – The Seton Hall Prep ice hockey team completed Mike Atkinson’s third season as the head coach with a 12-8-5 record. This is the most victories since the 2009-10 season when they were 12-9. SHP dropped a tough 1-0 overtime match to Christian Brothers Academy in the quarterfinal round of the NJSIAA Non-Public Ice Hockey Tournament played at the Jersey Shore Ice Arena in Wall Twp.

This season the top scorers were senior forward Stephen Buck (24 goals-14 assists) junior forward Thomas Colucci (15-16, senior forward John O’Hern (7- 21), senior defenseman Jake Sandomeno (6-9), and freshman forward  Phil Feinberg (5-4).

Junior goalie John Profaci was 8-7-4 with a 2.17 goals against average while senior goalie  Anthony Caruso was 4-1-1 with a 3.17 goals against average.
