WEST ORANGE, NJ – The Seton Hall Prep ice hockey team went 1-1 last week to move to a 4-2 record on the season.
On Wednesday, Dec. 12, at Richard J. Codey Arena, Seton Hall broke a 3-3 tie early in the third period and scored seven goals en route to a 10-4 victory over Morristown-Beard.
Phil Feinberg scored three goals; Ryan Kemp scored two goals and had two assists; Thomas Colucci scored one goal and had 4 assists; Patrick Zincone scored one goal and had two assists to lead the team.
Other goal scorers were Alex Kuhtik, Anthony Martine, and Sal Betro. JP Foley and Tyler Fogu each had an assist.
On Friday, Dec. 14, the Pirates traveled to RWJ Barnabas Health Hockey House in Newark to take on St. Peter’s Prep (Jersey City). SHP lost, 5-1.
Trailing 5-0 in the third period, Brendan Waivada scored a short-handed goal with 4:01 left on assists by James Gabriel and Alex Kuhtik.
