Seton Hall Prep wrestling team wins third straight SEC-American Division title

WEST ORANGE, NJ –  The Seton Hall Prep wrestling team completed its dual-meet regular season, going 2-1 last week and raising its record to 12-3.

On Friday, Feb. 1, the Pirates hosted Cedar Grove and won 48-21. They finished the conference season with an 8-0 record. With that victory, the Pirates captured the Super Essex Conference-American Division title for the third year in a row and fifth in the 10-year history of the conference.

SHP also won the division title in 2009-10 and 2010-11.
Earlier in the week, the Pirates hosted Pope John XXIII (Sparta) and lost, 52-15, Jan. 28. They hosted Verona and won 63-12, Jan. 30.
