WEST ORANGE – The West Orange High School varsity baseball team defeated both Glen Ridge, 4-1, Friday, April 15, at home, and Belleville, 15-0, the next day in Belleville.
The Mountaineers then lost to Columbia, 7-6, April 18, in Maplewood, on bases-loaded walk-off RBI single by Eliot Dix in the bottom of the eighth inning. WOHS moved to a 5-2 record.
In previous action, WOHS fell to Verona, 8-0, April 11, at home, and lost at Cedar Grove, 5-1, two days later.
