West Orange HS boys’ soccer team ups mark to 4-1-2

WEST ORANGE, NJ – The West Orange High School boys’ varsity soccer team tied Millburn and defeated Bloomfield to move to a 4-1-2 record.

Senior Bryce Millington scored off an assist from senior Pancho Pozzolli in the first half as the Mountaineers played Millburn to a 1-1 tie at home on Sept. 27.

The Mountaineers defeated Bloomfield, 4-1, Sept. 29, in Bloomfield. WOHS jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first half. Senior Neil McGarrel had two goals and Manny DePierola had one goal and one assist. Junior Kenneth Vaquiz had a goal. Junior Josh Figueroa, senior Russell Hoffer, Millington, Pozzolli and senior Dillon Reitberger each had one assist. Senior Sam Banks and junior Paul Schuler each made one save.

The Mountaineers are ranked No. 8 in the Top 20, No. 3 in Public Group 4 and No. 3 in the Super Essex Conference by nj.com.
