West Orange HS girls’ basketball players earn All-SEC honors

WEST ORANGE, NJ – The West Orange High School girls’ varsity basketball team, which won the NJSIAA North Jersey Section 1, Group 4 state tournament for its first state sectional title in program history this season, featured four players who earned All-Super Essex Conference-American Division honors.

Junior guard Mya Bembry, arguably the best player in the conference, and senior guard Nahtali Simpson made First Team, while junior guard Bianca Fede and senior forward Cassidy Ferrell made Honorable Mention.

Bembry averaged 19.5 points and 12.7 rebounds a game for the Mountaineers, who finished with a 22-8 record.
