West Orange HS girls’ soccer players earn All-SEC-Liberty Division honors

WEST ORANGE, NJ – The West Orange High School varsity soccer team, which finished an unbeaten 13-0-5 season and won the Super Essex Conference-Liberty Division title, featured seven players who earned All-SEC-Liberty Division honors.

They include:

FIRST TEAM
• Natalie Nevins, sophomore midfielder.
• Morgan Clark, junior midfielder.
• Nyah Harber, junior defender.

SECOND TEAM
• Kaylese Gist, senior forward.
• Samantha Herbert, senior goalkeeper.

HONORABLE MENTION
• Emma Mitchell, freshman.
• Hannah Villasin, junior midfielder.

Nevins made First Team for the second straight year. Herbert also made Second Team and Villasin made Honorable Mention both for the second year in a row.

West Orange, under second-year head coach Sean DeVore, had a great year. The Mountaineers were eliminated by penalty kicks in both the Essex County Tournament semifinals against Montclair Kimberley Acadmey and in the NJSIAA North Jersey Section 1, Group 4 state tournament quarterfinals against Livingston. WOHS was the top seed in the ECT.
