WEST ORANGE, NJ — The defending champion West Orange High School girls soccer team received the No. 2 seed in the Essex County Tournament.
The Mountaineers will begin play in the first round today, Oct. 10, as they host No. 15 Caldwell at 4 p.m.
Montclair is the No. 1 seed.
Emma Mitchell scored two goals and Kaya Schultz had a goal and an assist in the 4-2 win over Livingston on Wednesday, Oct. 2. Kiley Capstraw had a goal and Natalie Nevins posted three assists.
Nevins scored three goals and Mitchell had a goal and an assist in the 4-1 home win over Morris Hills on Monday, Oct. 7, as the Mountaineers won their eighth straight game to improve to 9-2. Schultz had two assists.
