West Orange HS girls’ soccer team moves to 4-0-2

WEST ORANGE, NJ – Sophomore Natalie Nevins had two goals and three assists; senior co-captain Kaylese Gist scored twice and added one assist; and freshman Emma Mitchell also had two goals to lead the West Orange High School girls’ varsity soccer team to a 7-0 win over Science Park on Sept. 20 at home in a Super Essex Conference-Liberty Division game.

Junior Nyah Harper had one goal; and junior Morgan Clark, freshman Kaya Schultz and junior Hannah Villasin each had an assist as the Mountaineers improved to 4-0-2. Senior goalie/co-captain Samantha Herbert made two saves for WOHS.

In the previous game, WOHS tied Glen Ridge, 1-1, Sept. 18, in a SEC-Liberty game at home. Junior Kaitlyn Charles scored on an assist from Nevins. Herbert made 13 saves.
