WEST ORANGE, NJ — Sophomore Jazzira Lopez and junior Kai Gonzalez each took sixth place in the 107-pound and 185-pound weight classes, respectively, to lead the West Orange High School girls wrestling team at the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association’s girls wrestling Region-North 2 tournament at Union High School on Sunday, Feb. 25.
The other WOHS competitors were sophomore Leslie Tamay, junior Alondra Martinez, freshman Razz Smith, sophomore Ariana Soria, sophomore Emily Paguay, senior Christina Pariona, sophomore Jailynn Robinson and junior Victoria Pereira.
