West Orange HS lacrosse team gains first victory

WEST ORANGE – Josh Wink had three goals and three assists; Andrew DiPalma and Isaac Arowosaye each had three goals and Ben Afolabi had two goals to lead the West Orange High School boys’ varsity lacrosse team to a 16-2 home win over Union City on Saturday, April 2, for its first victory in its second game of the season.

Marshall Lipsey had two goals and one assist; Corbin Dix collected one goal and two assists; Dylan Cowley posted a goal and an assist; Justin Walker had a goal and Christian Pozzoli had an assist. Brian Crann and Virgo O’Keefe each made two saves.

The WOHS Mountaineers lost to Hanover Park, 15-11, in the season opener on March 30 on the road. DiPalma had three goals and five assists; Arowosaye had two goals and two assists; and Lipsey and Afolabi each had two goals for WOHS. Wink and Alan Benson each had a goal; and Crann made 13 saves for the Mountaineers.
