West Orange HS softball team defeats Glen Ridge in season opener

WEST ORANGE – The West Orange High School varsity softball team defeated Glen Ridge, 6-3, in the season opener Friday, April 1, in Glen Ridge.

Emma Scalora fired a two-hitter with one earned run and three walks, striking out eight. Chyna Chitty went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and three RBI; Danielle Fastiggi had a double and an RBI and Nahtali Simpson had three walks and scored three runs.  Siena Pizzano and Meghan White each had a hit.
